Is it possible to swap heads from a non vtec B18 head to a head with vtec? I just got a crashed integra and dont know much about them. I was just curious what I can do with this engine. How much potential does this engine have with parts swaping for maximum horsepower?

 

Its called LS Vtec...Youll have to do alot more the just swap the heads to get that vtec roaring!


What kind of motor do you have now?
What kind of motor does the integra have?
Are you gonna keep the entire integra or use it for parts?

B18B1 Integra with front section crashed. Its only fender parts and the car runs fine. I'm just curious to know what you can do, as in Mini me swaps and stuff. I also have a civic I will be doing a mini swap with, vtec head etc. I thought maybe you can switch heads with the B18 with heads from B16, B18C.

 

It's quite costly to do it properly, but it can be a reliable setup if its built well. Read ALOT on it before you buy a vtec head, there seems to be a lot of misinformation floating around. hondavision.com has some good tech articles on the subject, I suggest reading them before you make any decisions.
