Brake Lights not working plz help
k guys so im trying to help out a friend with his s2k and his brake lights aren't working, they turn on and such but when you press the brake pedal they dont 'light up' like they should, checked out the bulbs and they're good, fuses are good, and all i can think of is the brake light switch itself by the pedal.
can anyone help me out here?
can anyone help me out here?
I had a similar problem with my brake lights. I checked all the bulbs and they looked fine. Turns out one was actually bad causing all of them not to work. I would replace all bulbs just to be sure.
what do you mean it light up but it doesn't "light up" when you press the break?
are you talking about the extra brightness when the break pedal is pressed?
break light bulbs has two filament. did make sure both are good?
are all break lights arent working? if so then it might well be the switch.

Hey there,
This is werid becuase I'm having the exact same problem with my 2000 Civic EX coupe (no brake lights or center 3'rd brake light, but parking lights work OK) with the added issue that my backup lights don't work either. Fuses are good, and I just replaced the switch and no change.
I haven't replaced *all* the bulbs yet.
If one bulb is bad would it cause them all to not work?
Ground continuity seems OK since all bulbs light up as the light switch in parking light position.
I think it's a little strange though, that the backup lights don't work also.
If anyone has an idea I would appreciate it - i'm just about to the end of my options...
Thanks!
