I want to use coolant bleeder location for water temp guage.
As title says, I want to use that location for the the sender . The sender supplied with the gauge is the wrong size and the adapters in the kit don't fit either. Where can I get an adapter to user the auto meter sender, or is there a sender that fits that will work with the gauge. Also what is the thread pitch of the coolant bleeder.
Engine is a 2000 B16
Water temp gauge is auto meter mechanical
Thanks in advance
Here's some pics stock bleeder is on left , Autometer sender is on right

Mine didn't fit either. Where did you buy yours? Maybe we ought to complain so AutoMeter can Fix the problem with the right fitting.
Good luck trying to find the right fitting !!!!!!! I went to (5) parts houses, (2) hardware stores, and (1) Hydraulic fitting and hose place. No Luck
Here's what I did. The fitting does screw in but starts real hard and won't tighten-up.
I put a generous amount of JB-Weld on both the threads of the fitting and the hole. I screwed the fitting in. I then put a small bead of JB-Weld all around the circumference of the fitting threads where it meets the block. I let the car sit overnight (24 hours).
It's not really noticable and works great. I was scared to re-tap the block and make a larger hole.

The thermostat housing is already tapped with the coolant feed line to my turbo. The bleeder screw was not in the thermostat neck, it was above the thermostat housing. I'm not trying to tap the hole, just trying to get the right size fitting or adapter.
check ur local hardware store and see if they have one if not then just tap it with alil grease so the shaved particles stick. or be ghetto and smear some JB around the threads and thread it in as far as u can and let it set up.
