I havent got my car up and running yet, but the installation process of the intake manifold in itself was a bitch. I have never needed a swivel to tighten down the nuts, things get pretty tight around the outside of the motor. Also with the plenum going down off the runners, that is what makes the installation so hard. I couldnt get a wrench between the runners so I had to monkey arm it. I hope it works out, I dont wanna take it off! haha

I'm sure both IM will do it's job well. We've had nothing but great results with the Gato Performance IM. It's tried and proven.

I'm assuming he is talking about the Magnus because I had the same feeling installing it. But not one bad thing to say once we fired the car up and got in the dyno.

Wouldn't you keep the manifold that had better powerband and not peak HP? Also what does what someone runs have to do with the manifold being better or not? They could have a better setup. Manifolds should be judged by increased powerband and or psi less boost for same hp. Just my 2cents. Maybe others like Tony, chris trbelic, etc can jump in.

I decided to take some pictures to let some see how tight it is around the back right side of my manifold. I still have power steering which would free up a little room between the shock tower, alternator, manifold area. Didnt realize how big the weldon regulator was until i actually held one, put it on the car and its just THAT much bigger lol.
I'm sure some of you guys with lots of non oem chassis parts/lines can find more room.

Is there anyone with some good pics of the Gato installed? Also looking for a pic of where the throttle body meets the cold side piping. Before I had regular couplers/tbolt clamps, now Im trying to switch over to Vband and want to see what was used for pipe with the weird angle the TB sits at(On a B-series). Thanks

here is mine...

it will be installed this week. By the looks of it, Magnus and ctr/itr brake booster/master can't fit together.

I have been wanting to see the difference between a short runner/large plenum intake vs a long runner/large plenum intake! In for results!

IMO the Gato looks like a better manifold, I used to have the magnus and it was ok but the plenium seemed a little small. Does anyone know the size on the gato and what is the price on that thing.
