Default Identify this device on the F22A1 intake manifold!!!

As the title says...

what in the hell is that!? I lent my helms to a friend for a bit.. and cant look it up. cant seem to find it on hondaautomotiveparts.com.. or i'm stupid and not seeing it.

its not had anything hooked to it for YEARS, and while looking over the EGR to remove it, i realized i should shitcan this too since its seemingly unimportant.

PS the arrow might be somewhat misleading. i mean the big thing on top..i know what the bottom one is.. intake air temp sensor.

I sense a lot of sarcasm and post whoring on this site and not so much help....what's goin on?

if your going to complain ok, if your going to complain about the lack of good info and then supply bad misleading info. your not really doing anything.

Actually on the F22A1 that thing on the front of the IM to the left is the FIV. (notice how its kinda new lookin from being replaced ) and to the left of that.. the black circular thing is the EACV. They moved stuff around on the newer accords.

there is nothing coming out of it.. used to be a vacuum line on it, i have no clue where it went to.. been years.

okay guys its what F23 Powaaaah said (was there ever a doubt )

found this on usenet

Air boost valve: on the far right of the TB...boots air intake to ease
starting.

After doing more and more research the car can live fine without it. In fact if this valve sticks open (which many seem to do) it'll cause the car to stall because its letting too much air in.

mine must be stuck shut, because from what i can tell vacuum from the intake manifold is what closes it (when car is running). I have no vacuum on it, so in theory it should be OPEN to give more air while cranking and the car would stall by it being stuck open.
