should i buy a 99 civic ex for 2 gs
found a 99 ex for 2 grand not sure if its worth it. its a silver 2dr coupe needs some front end body work (mainly dings and cracked bumper cover) and a tune up really bad it has alot of hesitation. the milage is kinda high 220000 but it sings like a sewing machine just as quiet as can be. also it is completely bone stock except for some cheap coilovers. may need window motors too
cant post pics cause the guy lives over an hour away and im not about to drive an hour to take pics but believe me it doesnt look much worse than my car(its in my ht garage if ur really want to look) and a plus is i have a BNIB front end for it. but it seeems sketchy cause of the miles even though they are highway miles. i used to work with the guy
i would say 2gs is a lil high for the description of the condition, but if you really want a 99-00 ex i would say haggle with him talk him down a little put the new front end you have on it. then swap over the b16 and any bolt ons or stereo equipment in yours to it then sell your 96 as a rolling shell for some cash back....that is if you are looking for something diffenrent than yours..?

o ok so your looking to buy and resell the 99 ex? good way to make some quick cash but im gonna be honest there is no way i would ever pay 3500 for a car with 220,000 on it no matter how good it looks but hey to each his own. an if i had the cash or the opportunity i would buy the 99 and swap everything from mine then rebuild the stock d-series in the 99,swap it into the 96 then sell the 96 and have a good 99ex with a b16 and stereo in it, and ask for 2-2.5 or 3 for the 96....but thats just me
