Default GTX3076 Tested on a Ford Focus. :)

So I finally got to dyno and tune one of the new Garrett GTX3076's today. I would say that I was pretty impressed with the outcome.

I ran the car up to 34psi before we had to stop, we where running into clutch issues and considering the car is producing 500wtq I guess it is to be expected. Keep in mind this is a Focus, not a Honda, this is probably one of the highest hp ones in the country at this time.

I just figured I would post something since I know many people have been talking about the new small frame GTXs, but I haven't seen many results yet.

BTW This was with a .63 A/R TiAL Exhaust housing and a 3" downpipe. It was also running on E85.

MORE ON THE CAR CAN BE FOUND HERE.

The part missing is where the dyno wasn't getting a good ignition pickup.

Yeah it is a small intercooler, it is one I built. Garrett core, custom endtanks. It is 3.5in thick however.

When I built the turbo kit I never expected to be pushing it this hard. The owner just wanted to go bigger and bigger.. IATs where in the 90s on the 35psi runs.

This is the zetec engine, which for those wondering, it is 2.0L and DOHC. The average turbo build in the zetec community is in the 200whp range.

Just noticed the timing belt on zetec. Duratec is chain. Do you know if it uses a mtx75 or getrag trans out of the svt? Can you post some better engine bay pictures? We had to do a bunch of custom **** to get the zetec over 200whp n/a

now that you tuned with the id's can you tell a difference in tuning? is there a big difference between them and the ones we have been using? exam, precisions

Wow. Duty cycle at 100%? Do you know what kind of fuel pressure was run?

We are running 50psi base fuel pressure. So we are getting 85psi at full boost.
The id1000s seem to be doing pretty good.

and you guys need to realize that this is not a honda engine, everyone is different. i personally liked the holy torqueness comment, just like my sr20, freakin torque monster. my 01 focus zx3 i had back in day made 320whp with a fmax kit. these cars are something nobody really looked into and could have lots and lots of potential. awesome build man keep it up and keep us all updated with how things go

the additional 35psi just counteracts the 35psi of pressure in the intake manifold, it doesnt actually flow more fuel because of the fuel pressure. This just creates an equilibrium so it still flows the same fuel as it would at 50psi with no pressure in intake manifold.
