we just got a trade in of a lifetime 94 4-door LS is auto
but its got 17,500 original miles on it!!! it rediculous i never thought these actually existed lol thank god for old ladies!

Haha, may grandpa has around 8000 original miles on his 1994 ford pick up. He still has the original tires on it as well. He does a lot of driving. Lol
Tires age out, even if the tread is never worn. 6 to 7 years is about the longest you want to use tires, and that 6 to 7 years is from the date of manufacture (which is stamped on the sidewall), not the date of first use.
Braking distances go way up as they age and harden, and the risk of a blow out increases significantly.
There was even a large amount of news coverage about this a few years ago when some kid died in an accident because the parents bought "brand new" tires that were already too old to safely use.
