b20 final pre-startup questions
Hey i'm going to have my b20vtec all together by the end of today.
I'm wondering what the procedure for start up and break-in is...
Do i just set TDC, put everything together the way it should be, reconnect the battery/harness/everything and then just turn the key with the clutch in?
It's kinda scary, these components have been apart and separated for almost a year. Everything is lubed, torqued, connected, clicked, snapped, bolted etc.
As far as I can tell, everything will be back together perfectly just the way it was when it came apart. (apart from a b20 block in there...)
Is there anything I should know before turning that key for initial startup?
What are the recommended flush intervals for changing oil, coolant, bleeding brakes, powersteering, bleeding fuel lines etc? I have a magnetic drain plug, but there was dirty oil, some overspray paint on windage tray, and the scrap-yard guy doused the motor in ATF so it wouldn't rust coming over the ocean.
Playing things on the safe side here. Gimme some shouts HT.
Thanks much!
