Lowering Stock Seat
Hey guys I am going to try to track my car next month. Anyways I need to find a way to lower the stock crx si seat. My head is on the roof when I drive it in a good racing position without a helemt on. So I can drive it with the seat leaned back but it does not really work that well. One Idea was to cut the stock foam down some. Is there any other ways to lower the seat. I would say a racing seat but its already going to cost me ~$825 to go racing for two days, so that is out of the budget. The car needs good brakes and a set of tires. Let me know if you have any ideas.
make custom rails to hold the seat that arent adjustable. Fit the seat in a good position for you and you only. The sliders raise the seat atleast an inch if not more, plus there is room below that you could lower the seat even more until it basically sits on the floor.
Yeah, and race seats will always raise the position, so you'd be even more screwed.
I did get something like jlk said that lowered the seat a good inch or so. That would be the thing to look into, as your options are minimal.
