ok i have a 97 prelude and of course it has the h22a4 engine and if the car is cold i can start it and it will idle high but when it warms up i can drive the car up the road and it will cut off if i push the clutch in i falls down to about 900 rpms and will try to stay there and then falls on down to 0 to 100 rpms and will cut off and when i try to crank it back its sluggish till i hit the gas and then it idles up but if i dont give it a little gas it will cut back off or idle very low any one have any ideas thanks...........jeff could it be my tps....

 

where is the idle set at?

 

i gt a 99 ek coupe with h22a4 swap and it does da same thing i replaced the xternal coil and i worked fine then while drivin started to sputter now i turned it off for a whie and wen i turn it on the idle is at 0 and cuts off sound real rough too any ideas?

 

Could be the tps.
Have you cleaned out your iacv to see if that helps? Or it kinda sounds like something with your throttle body not givin it enough fuel.

 

i changed the tps sensor, map sensor, cleaned my injectors,cleaned da iavc. i was takin a gud look at da manifold and da previous owner tried to shoot nitrous direct so i have four bolts drilled into da monifold. i finally gt it on and i rev it to 1.5 and it starts to idle im gona change da manifold to c if its jus an air leak dat i cant find

 

i used to have a probelm similar to your and this it what fixed my issue, take out your egr valve and clean all the carbon build up w/carb cleaner, while your at it dump carb cleaner in the port for the egr as well....after i did that on my prelude..it idled a lot better and stopped dropping the idle when you put in the clutch...btw there is a post on how to clean the egr ports on the manifold

 

i took a gud look at did manifold and da people who had dis mmotor shot nitrous directly to da manifold so dey drilled four holes on it. it has a very bad air leak anybody t an h22 stoc manifold for sale?

 

this jorge c dude makes no sense its hilarious! hahaha... does it have a misfire? check engine light? tps doubt it, iacv maybe but doubt it, fitv would make it surge, when was the last time you replaced your fuel filter

 

dis motor makes no sense..lol it thrws check engine but dats becauce i have no o2 sensor..dis motor was jus put in dis car to make it run dats it most of da sensors dnt have plugs cumming from da harness its a mess. this harness is a jdm b16 so everything is on the opposite side .but it is an air leak in da manifold

 

thanks for the info it ended up being my intake bolts had vibrated lose from the head and it was sucking air around the lower intake gasket i just put a wrench on them and it works just fine now thanks.....maybe this will help lol

 

i tighten da bolts dat suppose to b pluggin up those holes put a lil silicone on em and it works fine now
