Default anyone using centerforce or exedy clutch ? need input

my clutch is going and i need a new one soon, im trying to order one tomor or something. ive been checking out different places. my friend has a CM and i know thats a good clutch but the customer serv at CM sucks ****, they sent the wrong part two times. So im thinking between a centerforce or exedy? I see the centerforce clutch is much cheaper compared to exedy??

exedy, no doubt. **** clutchmasters and their aluminum flywheels, too.

Well both clutches are organic so they will have limited capacity in regards to holding the abuse and power. I have a centerforce and the only thin special that I noticed when i put it in was the cheap orange paint on the pressure plate.

None of the centerforce clutches for honda appliacations come with the little weights. If I could do it again, I would have saved more for the clutch masters segmented kevlar clutch.

Between the two(exedy, centerforce) I would go for the exedy. But in reality both are just regular organic friction plates, the only difference being in the quality of the springs in the hub and the pressure plate.

i got a cf dual friction clutch wit clutchmaster 8lb flywheel

its good to me so far..the pedal isnt extremely heavy and holds all the power i can give it...in my opinion thats a good clutch...itll chirp 2nd but not 3rd...o well

still works fine for me!

Ive used ACTs with alot of success in the past, as well as i have alot of friends who use them all with good success. They seem to be able to hold pretty much whatever you can throw at them.

I have also used an Exedy regular OE replacement clutch in my ED b16a hatch, and with 50 miles on it, i chirped the tires in 4th accellerating on the freeway - absolutely blew me away that i could do that (pretty much without trying).

Either way you go, ACT or Exedy, you wil be buying a good clutch.

Centerforce - the little weight things WILL fall out eventually, its not a matter of if they will, its when.

Has anyone noticed you can get Exedy Organic Clutches on eBay for $99 - $125 any day of the week..... do a search at ebay.com for "Exedy Civic" .... Tons of them ---- why spend almost $300 at coximport? or anywhere else? Are they diff Exedy's than the ones on eBay (sure doesn't look like it?)

yes there is a difference. the exedy on ebay are the OEM ones which you can also get at coximports for 100 bux, the 300 ones are for the exedy racing clutch

for the price ($250). exedy is the way to go. Plus a lot of cars in japan use 'em and they tend to hold a lot more power than other brand @ that price

http://www.clutchcityonline.com and get it there!
