Default what year civic si sedan..

I'm looking to get a civic si sedan. And I'm interested in what year is best. I know this might start a slight debate but I know there has to be facts that make one year better then another. Also what's a good website for aftermarket parts? Are these cars easy to lower? I want it to be tucking or close to tucking(what coilovers are best?) Thanks.

The perennial debate about which of the 8 Gen Civics is better is never going to be settled... the earlier ones were plagued with build problems and such.. the newer ones are heavier and less attractive ( from what I have read in the threads). The car choice is up to the driver, price and availability are factors. Aftermarket parts are available for both sides, but the older ones have more otions. There is a lot of info to be found in the other threads in this forum, you have to read. Do not just ask, there are some in here that hate rehashing old threads because someone doesn't like to read.

Good luck and good hiunting.

BTW, I drive a 2010 FA5.

Heavier? Where did you read that? How would it be heavier?

09 vs 10 only difference is the IM cover is different color i think.

The 09+ are better imo. The front ends are more aggressive, standard fog lights, have leather shift boots were I think the 06's had cloth which would tear not sure about 07 or 08. The 3rd gear problem was fixed in 09+, including a new shift module which reduced throw by 9% compared to 06-08. I think theirs more red stitching everywhere, the material on the doors is different fabric and looks cool. They moved the mirror switch from the dash to the drivers door panel. TPMS is on all the 09+. The 09+ have different intake and exhaust cams which are longer duration. Only 10,and 11 have a black IM and valve cover which is cool, kinda like the old B motors.

IMO get an 09+, btw I have a dbp 09 sedan and knew none of these differences except the bumper and standard fogs when I bought it.

**Yeah the 09+are heavier atleast the sedan, but it likes 20lbs or somethan. Besides the curb weight is so high 20lbs isn't gonna make a difference at all.

Also best suspension to go with? Yes I know I sacrifice ride comfort for lowering. I'm cool with it. I was wondering best coilovers that give a good drop (3-4 inches) and what springs give the biggest drop? Thanks everyone again. I hope I'm part of the fa squad soon!

Lowering these cars is easy as any other car. It's people going hella flush that have to some trimming of the rear quarters.

I recommend go power because I have them. A lot of people use buddy club n+, but I don't think their that good. You have to reuse oem suspension components. And ride height will affect comfort. No with go powers design ride height, spring pre load, and dampening rate are all indifferent from one another. Meaning no matter how low I go it's not going to affect ride comfort, vice versa versa vice.

08 si sedan, i dislike the rim change in 09 and also the cheap looking chrome, and the grill is not my favorite it reminds me of the mistake of a model of the 2001-2005 ugly civics
