i need help honda tech! so im about to get a 00 civic ex coupe. it has the stock cd player in it and i would like to put my pioneer deck from my da into the civic, i heard that the wire connectors are different so i will be getting the correct wiring harness for it.

what i would like to know is, how do i connect the new wiring harness to the pioneer deck. do i just match the colored wires? also how do you take out the stock deck? this is somthing i have a problem with, ive had a da for about 2 and a half years and no absolutley nothing about civics so any help would be great. also pics woul be nice. thanks guys

 

Just go get a Stereo clip that fits your Car. You can get it at meijer or any car stereo place. Its about 5 bucks

 

they're pretty much the same.
it should just be a color match harness with the plug into the back of the deck and wires that need to be connected.

mine is just 4 bolts. it should have a little like plate box but mine wouldn't fit so i just bolted it in.

 

yup, go to autozone or similar that sells one of those aftermarket stereo installation kit. The kit will include everything you need to install. Also you will need a aftermarket harness that plugs into the oem stereo harness to your new radio. Wires will also have to be connected.
