Swapping stock b20 into stock 00 ls integra!!Questions
Looking to swap my 1.8 with a b20...anyone know if everything swaps over or anything special that has too be done? plz lmk thanks
you just gotta put your ls intake manifold on the b20, use your ls bracket for driver side mount, and id reccomend chipping your ecu with b20 specs so your motor dont run lean.
You don't need to have a chipped ecu if you are just keeping it stock. When running a chipped ecu an ls basemap is used as a base and from there you would need to tune it. There is no such thing as b20 specs.
u dont have to really tune the ecu. i was recomended an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. but the only thing i can think of is that if is a jdm b20 u need to find out how to deal with the missing crank sensor. i know its been done just havent done it myself.
he needs a b20 basemap because his motor will be running too lean plus the redline on the b20 is probily different.

i put a 99jdm b20 in my DA and it runs like a champ, i took out a Lexus Is300 with it(stock). and me and my girls brother put one in her 94' teg and it also runs good.
no chipping, tuning needed.
agreed my b20 in my da9 swapped in clean...all i changed out was my intake maifold cuz its bigger and wont fit..how ever it flows smoother once u change it...u can put the b20 ecu if u want but it isnt needed...
dON'T WORRY...... 2.0L and 1.8L differ only a little bit. I have a B20 in my 90 DB1, WITH MY stock YS1 cable trans.. Also just put a A/F gauge and I can see why I am lean. But when it is warming up it IS super RICH. So if you want better gas millage tune the ECU for extra .2L. Hondata S300 is the way to go, data logging while the car is racing.....

I have since strayed toward the B20b and i was thinking, would the ports be larger on it too? or is this even true to begin with?
i was thinking about the running lean situation as well and considering its a bigger displacement and because of the larger flow intake im running causing my a1 to run lean anyway, somehow, i never thought about or i guess i didnt know about the adjustable FPR, but its a good idea, burnt valves suck!
you didn't have to change the distributor? And what about the knocking sensor? How did you wire that on 00 ls teg?
