Default 1997 Honda Prelude - G22 Swap + Extras

Name: Tommy
Location: Richmond
Means of contact: PM or 804 551 8247
Price: $7500 (Just because I need one)
Mainly looking to trade for another Honda/Acura, or a bike plus cash.

UPDATE 1/30/11 - Most likely tomorrow I am going over to Ballo's to get the compression of my motor and getting the CEL fixed and also tuned by the end of this week.

UPDATE 2/2/11 - Went and got the psi reading of each cylinder earlier with all 4 reading within 5 of 190 psi. 8.7:1 is what we're at. Hopefully getting tuned this week.

UPDATE 2/4/11 - Got in touch with Scott Hennessey yesterday and I'm taking the car down Monday to get the cel taken care of and also getting tuned.

UPDATE 2/9/11 - Went down to Scott's place a couple days ago and he took care of my cel. Turns out a wire from the dizzy wasn't getting power. Afterwards we went out and he tuned me. Car runs perfect now, idle is exactly where it needs to be. Also installed the rear lip yesterday.

Description: I'm starting to lose some motivation to finish up this car even though I'm almost there so I want to test waters and see if anyone would be interested in my Eucalyptus green '97 Honda Prelude. I swapped in a G22 which if you don't know is a H series head with a F series bottom. The motor was put together at Ballos Precision Machine and has no oil leaks whatsoever. I have had it for about a year and a half and fixed everything that was wrong with it when I first got it. I would rate the body an 8-8.5/10 considering there are a few minor dings and dents but nothing real major. Everything runs great and has been tuned by Hennessey. We took our time and there were no short cuts taken when doing the swap. Included I have front and rear lips and also sideskirts. The rear lip has been installed but the front and sides are still sitting. They are brand new except for the rear lip and need to be repainted. I know the price is high and is still significantly lower than the amount of money I've dumped into this car. Mainly I'm looking for trade and am open to most offers. I don't want your beat up project cars please, something more practical with no problems. Here is everything that has been done and any more info I would be glad to give out.

the jdm f22b is dohc compared to the usdm f22 which is only single cam. yes my intentions if i dont sell or trade it is to boost it. this bottom end is basically bulletproof and can easily hold 700-800 hp
