so as some of u know im putting a y7 in my ef

dont have the right intake mani

need the car to run TODAY

will i have any problems running a dpfi IM on the y7

provided that your DPFI dizzy will fit on the car, I dont see why not.

i know the DPFI dizzy wouldnt bolt up to my Z6 head, so make sure the DPFI dizzy will bolt up to the B7 head, as the B7 is a OBD1 motor.

In any case u i think you can use youre stock ef head on the y7 block.

Yeah it'll bolt up. The only real difference will be the fan switch is on the thermostat housing on the Y7 and on the back of the block of the D15B1. Your distributor will bolt right up to it.

but again, it will run like dog **** because of the timing differences between obd2 and obd0

reset the ecu. did u do mpfi or stayed stock

its probably something easy lol. check grounds check connections. when i dont get spark i would just tighten up the ground on the head and the thermostat housing and most of the time its that

yeah thats what i was thinking the same ima have to extend the thermostat housing wires that ground whole is cracked well see thanks again brah

If you used all the old stuff on the Y7, there would be no problem. I did exactly this last year and am still running it. The only mod really was ghetto rigging something to deal with the coolant hose at a different angle and extending the temp sensor wire.
