Hey all,
My EP3 is currently hibernating for the winter... but I go start her up every so often to move her around the garage to work on her or wash. Lately I haven't because the battery completely died on me! I brought my other car in to boost it to move it.
Now I'm going to replace to battery at this point in the next month or so because she will be back out on the street early April. I'm wondering what batteries do you guys like to use? I always was told to use only Honda OEM batteries but what about other brands such as Optima?
Let me know!

I'm running the Odyssey PC680... It's a little hesitant starting up in really cold weather... but other than that no issues.
I bought it from Password JDM. Here is a link for the specs:

I'm using a Stinger dry-cell battery. It's great for cold weather starts and deep cycling such as storage. Weighs about the same as the stock battery (26lbs). The dimensions are similar to the stock OEM battery but this one isn't as tall, so I had to improvise a spacer to push the battery up to the tie-down height.

i wonder if the buddy club battery suffers too
maybe those smaller batteries are just purely designed for weight reduction on the track?
yes small batts are not great for daily driving cars.. they will work.. sometimes they wont. most are small equipment batteries just re branded or cased. ide suggest looking around and purchasing an oem replacement.. many companies offer time based warranty for them and offer a free jump if it fails to start.
if you are looking for a true stock size battery, take a look at the XSPower D5100R. it's a great battery that fits in the stock tray. like any battery in storage though, i would invest in a bettery tender and wire in a kit to be able to plug it in quickly. once i started storing my car, no matter how great the battery, i use a battery tender.
