greddy used to make a smog legal turbo that was part number 11550031 but I cant find it on there site anymore.is there any smog legal turbos I can run here in CA in a 96 GSR?Its going in a 96 civic LX

take a dated picture, install the kit and take another picture. then take the smog test an keep a copy with you. tell the cop when he pulls you over, show him the test and the pictures and the dates. show that you passed and then tell him u should b smog exempt because u passed.

 

depending on where you live in california this might work but in my experience where i live(so.cal) that would definitely not work.. id get laughed at then i would be handed my ticket.
your best bet is just to look for a used greddy turbo that still has the carb stickers on and use that.. even if its for a single cam you can still use the turbo and just customize the piping to fit. cops dont have a way to run carb sticker serial numbers on their computer only the bar can and they dont do that much research when you try to bar you stuff.
