ls rods and pistons in d series?
i was told that stock ls rods and pistons are a "stock upgrade" for a d series, is this true and if so what needs to be done and can they handel boost good?
Stock LS rods have been used in Boost applications but are not a direct bolt on situation. There is some machining up at the top for the wrist pins to fit properly. As for the pistons, If I remember correctly, the civic has 75mm pistons and the integra is much bigger. Still, i dont think this combo will work. take a look at the difference in deck heights and what not on both engines and see for your self.
I have ls rods mated to vitara pistons. You need to bush the wrist pin end and shave down the crank end there's about 100 write ups on the Internet about it....google ls rods d16
Yeah, i know the Rods work with a little work but not too sure i have heard anything about the pistons from a LS in a D series block.

Just good info
Just good info
Well considering the stock d series pistons are ~75mm and a stock b series pistons are 81mm you would need to get your block sleeved in order for them to fit. That would cost ~1200+ dollars, so I'm sure that's why no one has done that yet.
