A neighbor asked me if i can tune up his 99 honda CRV and i say ok and asked why?
he said that about a year ago he let someone to do a tune up spark plugs wires etc??
its a manual transmission and for a week he noticed a change.
he says when ever going uphill or some flat surface the engine feel like its slow and hesitant when driving or in low speed rpms, shifting gears
when in highway or etc its smoother.


i test drove it and it felt like it was slow engine weak or somthing in the beginning, like wtf, 1k to 3k about and then like power kicked in later.like vtec kick in when its smooth lol but its not vtec. it felt smoother but in the low rpms it feels like slow lacking power. sometimes like when shifting to another gear the engine feels lacking power or something.

up hills it feels worse, when test driving later the engine light came on. he said that it didnt do it before.

it has a bad valve !!!!!!!!! its firing on 3 cylinders ..... pull one plug wire off at a time to test each wire should change the way it idles except the one that is not firing .....

 

but if i remove one wire that is bad, that meaning its the 1s that its not firing would the engine already supposed to be running bad already diff even if i didn't remove it??
idk because the enigne feels like its idling smooth when only at idle but when driven it feels like its loose power?

 

Check the cam timing, ignition timing, and valve lash.
