Since I got the motor in the '95, I have been running w/o the O2 sensor hooked up. However, I have yet to get a CEL from it...this isn't normal I am assuming.

I am running a reprogrammed P28 w/Skunk2 program...but I thought they couldnt' disable any emmision control devices...I could be wrong.

I'm just wondering if the O2 sensor will always code when disconnected...

 

That does seem odd. Is the car running well? Rich or lean?

 

The car is running rich, just like it should be with no O2 sensor, but it doesn't code it out...

The only CEL codes I have had since the day I got my motor in were 7 and 10. 7 is fixed, and 10 is in the process of being fixed.

I am confused...

 

Perhaps the chip you're using is blocking that code for whatever reason.

Confused? With what, the code 10? That's to do with intake air temp if I'm not mistaken.

 

I am confused because the car is running VERY rich, and the only thing its coding is the IAT sensor...but when that doesn't work right, it doesn't dump fuel if i'm not mistaken...

 

Maybe the bulb was taken out.

Why dont you just get an o2 sensor? Why havent you gotten one in the past 7 years? lol

 

I just wired it in today actually. I have had an O2 sensor, just after the swap into the '95, the engine harness I made didn't have the appropriate connections for an O2 sensor.

But the O2 sensor hasn't been throwing any CEL's when it wasn't hooked up. There was NO O2 wires connected to the ECU...so ya...i just don't know...
