FS-'98 Integra GS...VSM...
Name: Jon
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Means of Contact : Prefer txt to 864-380-8051
Year - Make - Model - Trim Level : 1998 Acura Integra GS
Miles: 206XXX
Price: 4500 or trade...I would really like an EM1 or a 99-00 EX coupe. May be willing to work on the price...I can also keep the track wheels to lower it.
Title Type: Clear
Smoked In?: Yes
The Bad: The bad-paint and clearcoat are faded, paint is cracking in places on the front bumper, the lip has been repainted with spraypaint, chips and whatnot in the front bumper. The factory scissor jack collapsed with the car on top of it and the pass. side rear quarter panel got damaged...I was quoted $300 to fix it including paint. 3rd gear scratches if you're too aggressive with it, meaning if you're gentle it's fine, I never have a problem with it. It burns a little oil at high RPM. The car has a Spec 6 puck clutch that engages...unusually. You get used to it but it takes a bit. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you the car was babied...it was not. I daily it, and it's been reliable as dirt, but it also gets driven very hard at times. No A/C or P/S...focus of the car is performance. Solid torque mounts transmit vibration to the cabin...a lot of this isn't so much "the bad" but rather just things that most people wouldn't be used to. Sunroof jams up occasionally, but still opens and closes fine.
The Good: The car handles fantastically. It's quick, relatively comfortable for what it is, doesn't have any weird wiring issues. I drive 60+ miles a day, and haven't had any issues out of it in forever. I fix problems that arise. Everything that's left on the car works. JVC headunit, infinity speakers. I'll list the modifications below.
Original B18B1 motor, with-
Samco intake hose with Blox velocity stack
Greddy header Spun body high flow cat(a real cat, not a TP)
Catback exhaust that ends with a custom buddy club spec II style rear section
Brian Crower Stage 2 cams with Crower valvesprings
Vision cam gears
Vibrant timing belt tensioner
Avid solid torque mounts
GSR transmission with Fidanza lightweight flywheel, Spec 6 puck clutch
Synchromesh tranny fluid
The chassis...um...here goes
Neuspeed front shock tower bar
Benen B-pillar bar
Custom rear Z-brace, serves as a shock tower bar and also braces the rear frame rails, with a bar connecting the two
Extended tophats all around
Tokico Illumina shocks
Neuspeed Race springs
The car's a GS, so it came with the GSR/ITR front swaybar, I replaced the bushings with energy suspension poly bushings
ITR rear swaybar with Blox endlinks, and function7 aluminum bushings
ASR rear subframe brace
Brembo front pads
Powerslot front rotors
Drive master cylinder brace
There may be more...I'll update later if I think of it The interior was gutted for a long time...I put the full interior back in to comply with SCCA Street Mod rules
My street wheels are 16x7 35 offset Rota JSPLs with 205/45 Kumho AST's, I also have a set of Team Dynamics 15x7 25offset Pro Race 1's with 205/50/15 Toyo RA1's, with one track day on them
The rear bumper is cut out around the center bar
Front bumper has SRR style quick releases
ITR replica front lip
Top One Aero canards
Mugen Gen II wing replica
Turn signals are tinted and cut out for brake ducts, the parking and turn lights still work and are visible
