hey guys im about all done and ready to yank this thing but im curious as to what this wire is and if it needs to come off and if so, how?

its tucked right under the distributor looks like its going into the head. there is a plug right at it im guessing oil temp or something to do with oil but nevermind the plug this is a single wire going into what LOOKS like eh something like an o2 sensor. what is this? to remove the engine do i need to take it out and if so how? its so hard to see up there that im just not sure about it.

 

whaaa??? sounds like your looking at the single wire plug for the temp sensor for the temp gauge on the cluster. why would this stop you from removing the engine? just pull the motor out...

 

i figured it to be something like that. im not saying it is keeping me from pulling the motor. im asking if it has to come out. i dont want to rip it out because it ends up being stuck to the harness as the motor lifts and i just can see how it comes out if it needs to. its dark under there haha

 

Un plug the engine harness from the shock tower connectors and pull the motor simple as that

 

the only points where the harness connect to the car is the shock towers. unplug it there and thats it...no worries
