Default Tail light problem

So i have a 88 civic DX sedan. My tail lights and my gauge cluster are both controlled by the #8 fuse. When i first bought the car, the fuse would occasionally blow and i would replace it. What i didnt know is that the fuse that was supposed to be in the slot was a 10A but when i bought the car it had a 15A in the slot. By logic, i would replace this fuse with a 15A since that was what was there before. i never had the cover for the fuse box so i didnt kno what was really supposed to go there.
Now replacing it has never been an issue until now. The other night i replaced it and it immedietly blew and now it wont work at all. Any ideas of where i should start guys??

Thanks

Sounds like you over-amped the circuit and burned a wire. Time to get out the multimeter and start tracing wires...

yep. thats what i had guessed. i got two buddies helping me out tomorrow. probably gonna go ahead since ive got the extra hand and tear out everything. seats, dash, carpet. Under the dash is a mess.

Ive got a Chiltons and a Haynes for this car and the wiring diagrams are rediculous. nothing to do with tail light wiring anywhere!!
