95 turbo ls/vtec coupe still wont start w/video
So I made a thread a bit ago but instead of bumping from the dead i'll make this new one, updated.
So I bought a 1995 honda civic coupe with an ls/vtec turbo in it. It was sitting since October (Early December when I bought it) It had a little trouble starting but it did fire up and stay running on the hondata ecu. That ecu was not included in the sale. No problems. It was swapped out for a chrome chipped p28 that was tuned for the car. It started up again and I took it home. The very next day it would not start, and has still not started since. I have fuel, I have spark. If I try to start it, it floods. If I put BRAND new plugs in, it will fire but will run very rich, and backfire like crazy. It will also die unless I keep it idling high. I figured in the end it could be my dizzy. I bought a new distributor, installed it and it still will not start. It will just flood itself. I would set the timing but i cant until it is up to operating temperatures. The car isn't made for the cold, and I don't intend on driving it through the cold winter, but it needs to start so i can transport it to a local D.I.Y garage and back. Is there something wrong with the ecu? I'm at a loss. It's been 2 months now. List of mods-
B18B block
81.5mm JE 9:1 pistons
Eagle rods
Stock PR3 head
balanced and polished stock crankshaft
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Vented style oil catch can with filter
RC 550cc injectors
Skunk2 Megapower cat-back exhaust
Skunk2 Test pipe
Turbonetics T3/T04E .63 ar ball bearing turbo
Cast Iron Turbo Manifold
Godspeed External wastegate
Godspeed FMI and piping
Greddy type-s bov

Here's the original thread.
Check the mechanical timing. The timing belt may be off by one tooth.
Any CEL codes?

To be honest im not 100% sure if the CEL works. I havent had the car long enough, or had it running long enough to find out. I keep getting told that the cold start enrichment on the chrome tune is so screwed it isnt starting the car.

When you turn the key from off to ON(II), the CEL should turn on and then off after 2 seconds if no codes are thrown.
I don't have a diagram for your engine, but you also need to check the mechanical timing.
I'll also copy this thread to the Engine Management and Tuning forum.
