I have a 91 Civic D-15, and I am having a problem starting it after shutting it off and say running into a store. It always starts in the morning (cold), but if I drive somewhere and turn the car off it will not start. The motor will crank 3 or 4 times and the check engine light comes on but will not start. The only way to get it to start is to crank the motor 3 or 4 times’ then turn the key off and back to start in one move. This will start the car most often, but if it just will not start I will have to let it sit for like 20mins and it will start. This sounds weird and doesn’t happen every time. I don’t know what is wrong so I have gone through with a tune-up replacing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil and this is still happing. I am asking you guys because I’m lost and could use any good ideas of what to look into. Thank you for your time!

 

Sounds like the main relay... also you said you have a cel wat code is it???
