Get Tein S Tech is pretty nice. 1.5" drop. Thats what I have on Tokico Blues. I love them.

Actually, mine's are 1.5" up front and 1.2" in the rear. Perfect stance.

The stock shocks don't always handle a 2" - 2.5" drop all that well. If you are going to use lowering springs. I would also suggest a set of aftermarket shocks that are made to handle the shorter travel.

If you have 16 year old shocks on your car they are not going to handle being lowered. You need to do it right the first time.

Or you could get some Ground Control coilovers for about $350. But like everyone else said, you'll want to replace the stock struts as well.

How so? What you VW guys call a cup kit, Honda enthusiasts call a coil over or a lowering spring kit. They have been around for years. Same shyte different pile........ The Honda aftermarket even has adjustable camber kits as well.

Best bang would be GC coil-overs. That way you can have different ride heights front and rear. You will probably need a camber kit for the front and a shim kit for the rear.

I disagree how VW is more organized. I work for VW dealers and it sucks. Every bolt and screw it has on the car is always torx screw; it's hella gay. All VW has skid plates and it is such a hassle to get them off just to do an oil change. Unlike Hondas, reliable, easy to work with, and doesn't have all them plastics everywhere and underneath just to be like a BMW.

Youll see the models are different but a lot of parts are interchangable especially for 90-97. Teins and tokicos and you cant go wrong. Your gonna need some new shocks. I see a lot of used setups available all the time.

vwvortex.com is an awesome site. Honda-tech is good too, it's just set up differently. You'll get used to it.

Yeah, you won't really find cup kits in JDM land. That's basically just a German thing.

You will need to go with at least a similar type of setup though to achieve a proper drop that won't self-destruct in a few months. You can go with a static drop, but as was said above you can find coilovers for about the same price, and they are a better bang for your buck.

I don't know what your budget is, but it sounds like it may be too low to do this properly (sorry, no Raceland cup kits or coilovers for Accords haha). You may want to wait it out a bit and save your money.

Skunk2 has their "sport shock" lineup.. It is what I cruise on, I have skunk2 all around.
The shock bodies are designed shorter than stock and have short strokes and more travel to compensate for the lowered ride height..
"cup kit" esque?

it depends how drastic of a drop you want. i'm not running a camber kit front or rear and i'm about 2.5" lowered.

i also have a $400 setup on my car. i'm running ksport springs and stagg struts i paid less than that too....discounts ftmfw
