Default thinking of getting an 06 civic

i'm thinking of getting an 06 civic ex coupe with 65k on it. but I've been hearing alot about the engines cracking, does that happen to all the civics or just a select few?

I never have run across one myself, but I think Honda extended the warranty to 8 years on engine blocks, get the vin number from the car and check it at the honda site.

Chances are it may have already been repaired, or you can get it repaired if you buy one of the defective units.

It's good to run the vin when you buy any car use the honda site and carfax, it's worth the money for the carfax, the honda site is free.

The bulletin says all 06-08 Civics except Si and Hybrid, some early 2009 Civics also.

The warranty extension is 8 years with no mileage limit.
