H23 Throttle Body on an F22
can someone explain the single/double runner bit to me?
which is the F22b2?
which is the H23's?
will the H23's TB work on my motor and what are the potential gains?

i have an h23 tb on my accord, must be portmatched there son or no gains for yu0, as for how much, i dunno go to the dyno and find out
If your accord is has a dual stage intake manifold on it, you can actually take the top half off it, and put on the complete top half off of an H22 or H23, as long as you pick one with the correct sensors. Technically you can also unbolt the top half of the accord with the dual stage, and bolt on a JR supercharger, but on the accord the drive belts will hit the strut tops, so you'd need some sort of custom drive belt system.
so does anyone know if the ENTIRE intake manifold from an H23 will bolt onto my F22b2? Obviously if so I would use the larger throttle body from the H23 as well.
the top part includes the " plenum " which has the t/b attatched , just get your accord manifold ( " bottom " where it bolts up to the plenum , bla, bla, ) port matched to the h23 gasket.

if you upgrade to a h22 tb, then would it be correct in saying that your intake would not fit, being that the h22 tb inlet is 3"? So then you could get the lude 3" intake being able to flow more air, creating more power. correct?

I think the h23 intake manifold actually does come very close, or even does bolt right up to the f22.
Maybe alot of people know this already but hey I will explain single and dual runner manifold setup anyways cause someone asked.
The single runner setup (some people call them single stage intake mani's too) just has 4 larger intake runners, 1 feeding air to each cylinders throughout the powerband.
The dual runner setup (or some call the 2 stage manifold) has 8 runners, of which 4 are only in use until a specific rpm (around 4-5 grand usually)... 1 runner is feeding each cyl. Now when you get to that rpm were the motor needs more air and has enough vaccuum to activate the control mechanism... the remaining 4 runners are opened and then there are 2 runners feeding each cyl. for the rest of the powerband.
Pretty much a variable air feed setup, which is very widely used on alot of make and model cars. It keeps the torque on the low end and still makes power on the top end.

Oh yeah accord f22b1 in my ride has a single stage runner system, and I believe most 4 cyl. accords (usdm obviously) are also.
The prelude had the dual stage runner system even on the 3rd gen. and also obviously on the 4th gen and 5th gen cars (yes even without vtec they still had it).

The only accords that have the dual stage intake are the 92-93 EX and SE. I actually crossreffereced some ##'s and found that the dual stage mechanism which goes in between the upper/lower intake, has the same part # for the F22a6, USDM H23/H22, and i think theres a good chance the integra GSR one is the same part # also.
