Is that a good price for welding (60 dollars)? im welding a Buddy Club Pro Spec Universal Muffler 2.25" (Polish) to a Civic hatchback DX. Currently has stock exhaust.

As a welder myself. and other friends who weld... We usually charge a base rate of 1 hour. Whether it takes the full hour to do it, or if it takes 5 minutes. When you have a shop and people make appointments, they are depending on that hours' pay to make up for down time in between appointments. It happens. Some people are priveleged and some are not. If you are friends they may say just give me 20 bucks and if not then you gotta pay their base rate. It wouldnt hurt to ask him why. Just be cool about it and dont upset him so he doesnt charge you extra!

His base rate just might be 60.00 per hour.

 

Oh ok thanks for the info. Would he weld on some hangers on for me? cuz i guess the muffler doesnt come with hangers...
