Default Is bigger always better? - plug wires

Heres a rundown of my project
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/build-thread-2-0-a-2885906/

My question is in reguards to spark plug wires, im using a msd cap and blaster. Should i get the biggest baddest wires i can find like some 12mm? Or should i just stick with msds standard (8.4?). Budget is about 100$ MAX for some GOOD wires.

Stick with oem ignition. I'd recommend NGK or MSD wires... other then that, i wouldn't go with anything else personally.

There's no need for 12mm wires.. thats entirely too big..

Regular NGK blue wires or Supercables
Or msd 8.5mm red wires.

I run the MSD 8.5 reds. No complaints here.
OE cables are no slouches either.

MSD makes some of the lowest resistance wires that you can run don't cause interference problems with other electronics. I like them and use them but some people have problems with them staying on the distributor cap and popping off. (I haven't) That being said, I've seen back to back dyno testing of different wires and there was no difference power wise over a stock set of wires.

Which is exactly why I buy the 25$ APC wires on egay
They are 9mm and work perfect, and also no pop off problem like the msds

Do the apc wires come where u can cut to the right length? Cause i was looking and they seem ok, but my MSD says no solid core wires, i dont see where they say if there solid core. do u know?

I've run both the msd super 8.5 and NGK blue. No issues/differences other than the NGK's match my valve cover better lol.
honestly the biggest change i've found with hondas and plug wires is whether or not you use dielectric compound, not so much the wires themselves.
