not really sure on what to do my strut under neather the hood is popping out from where its bolts i can take pictures if needed not sure on what else to do

 

What are you talking about? 88-91 Civic does not have struts. They are shocks.

Are you talking about the top hat on your shock or something?

Are the bolts torqued? I have never had issues with the top hats. Some pictures would help.

sounds good prob will be tomorr cuz i took it out twice today looked perfect until i dropped the jack and strut just went right back up hah

Ur missing #12 bumpstop plate. Its a funny tapered thick washer.

100% sure. No pic required. Just redo it.

that top washer is not the right part either. i have no idea where that came from, it doesnt belong on the shock.

but im 100% certain you are missing #12. its under the top hat. it would not do this with it properly installed.

Congrats you know what an oem bump plate looks like.....but FYI when you get an aftermarket strut/stock from let's say autozone....you get one that looks like the one in his picture...he just has it in the wrong spot....so easy on the dumbass cool guy

 

Lol. I've seen a few people do this befor. Like tyson you are missing your bump plate. Go to a junk yard and get one easy fix

 

so do i move the bump plate down. because u guys are saying 12 is the top washer u seen in the fiture that says this side up?

 

Yes, the "washer" that says this side up, right now you have it at #6 is #12 in the diagram
