D16z6, adjustable cam gear questions.
I just put a Z6 swap into my sedan and I was wondering if there where any real advantages to putting in an adjustable cam gear, weather it be power or even reliability.
Known mods:
Lightweight flywheel
Block has been decked (dont know how much)
Y8 head gasket
I know it is pretty necessary when putting in a cam and or a tuned ECU, but I am pretty sure mine is the stock Z6 cam and I am running a stock P28. the thing that has me thinking about a gear is that the block was decked, and it has the thinner head gasket. But I am also wondering if I can compensate enough for that on the distributor.
Any help is appreciated.
