Default Few questions about my b16 issues.

Hey everyone. I picked up a 1991 dx hatch with the obd0 b16 running a pr3 ecu about a week ago. When I first got the car it would hesitate and misfire hard at WOT soon as vtec engaged. I changed the cap and rotor and added 93 octane, it got a little better. New NGK plugs, a little better again. I also soldered all the shady ecu wiring and got rid of the all CEL'S. No more CEL. Today I changed the igniter and the coil( New coil was bad, so thats getting sent back) old coil back in, tried a friends coil runs the same.
With the new ignitor it will run a lot smoother, but still is SLOOOW, at about 6500rpms it just doesnt want to pull anymore and kind stays at that rpm, not doing much but being loud.

Checked the tps, it WAS 4.7v closed and .35 open. So I switched the inverted pins at the connector, .35 closed and 4.7 open (closer, will adjust when I have time)

o2's: The car has one o2 running to both inputs (C8 and C16 I believe)

What is my next step? Check ignition timing and adjust TPS?

P.S. The fuel pump is LOUD in this thing, just humms along all day. I am wondering if previous owner (who is special, front springs on the back and vice versa) added a walboro and no way to adjust it.

Any input or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

My b18a1 did the same thing until i changed the spark plugs, wires, rain seafoam through it, and rewired the two wires coming from the cam position sensor on the distributor to the ecu and havent had a problem since.

Which two wires did you have to rewire? Do you mean you just had to re-do the connections or they were wired incorrectly?

my b16a did the same thing, when its in vtec around 7k it would misfire and make a loud popping sound and the tach would jump all over the place. I was running open manifold at the time and when i put a new exhaust on the car it never did it again.... what are you running for exhaust?

I dont remember what pins they were at the ecu but they were the two wires that are not there on a DPFI Distributor. They were getting a bad connection at the ecu.
