Default D4 blinking and CEL with no speedo

I was Driving my prelude home from the gym the other day and about 8 minutes from home, my D4 light began to blink rather than stay solid. The speedo completely stopped working (it had always been off and would jump around occasionally when i was cruising at a steady speed. Or, for example, I would be sitting at a stop light and it would jump to 80 MPH, then to 60, and back down to zero randomly. while driving the MPH were always off as well as saying i was going about 10 MPH faster than i was.) The speedo will sometimes go up to 20 MPH on the highway, but the torque converter doesn't lock, cruise control doesn't work, and the odometer and speedometer are both useless. The entire ride home from work yesterday was all highway, so once i was driving, it never left 4th gear but the torque converter wasn't locked. D4 blinked the whole time on the highway, and once i got off the highway and it had to shift, the CEL came on. I can't get a code off it because once the car turns off, the CEL is off until it has to shift alot. Shift points also seem off. Does this sound like a Vehicle speed sensor to anyone? or is this something else? Thanks guys.

Definately seems like your vss is stuffed, i would replace it with a known good
vss to check, and also try to get some codes if you can.
