Icon2 trouble with b16a rex obd1

alright got a few questions definitely not new to this but trying to get this car going already...

would reversing the fuel lines for the filter prevent the car from running?
also does a b16a have a knock sensor i didnt think about looking before hand?
or would not hooking up a oil temp or oil pressure stop the car from running?

its turning over right now but doesnt want to start need a little help thanks.

on top of this the car is wired for obd1 and was intended for a h22 i know pretty much all the plugs are the same maybe two or three arent used or needed. so basically the motor is obdo converted to obd1 running a p30 ecu and all it does right now is turn over but whats holding me back? brand new dizzy good starter little fuel maybe wrong vacuum setup? idk

Start with this info:
Is the car stock MPFI? Or DPFI converted to MPFI? Is the wiring done right? Any CEL?

its definitely mpfi the wiring is done legit i think its cuz i have the two solenoids for the vacuum from a obd0 with the two plugs one for the map which is connected but the second plug that is for the solenoids themselves is not connected and im missing the wire so im guessing thats stopping it from running? idk i called one place and he said its more than likely but now if it is i need to get the plug and wire it in myself to the ecu....idk

if its been converted from dpfi, make sure the wires on the TPS sensor were swapped. i know they are in different locations on an mpfi tps than a dpfi tps.

yes b16 has a knock sensor. why is the fuel lines switched on the filter anyways?

yea its mpfi n now im sure that its the vacuum solenoids thats preventing my car to start because looking at the wiring diagrams they are suppose to on when hot or start and since i dont have the plug meaning its not plugd in then its not reading or turning them on so im sure it has to be that. im about to grab a plug for it and run it according to the diagram and then give it a try to see what happens. hopefully it starts.

* n the fuel filter lines were switched on accident i was just wondering if that was stopping me but if anything it was just improper filtering but i switched them back

First thing check to see if you got a cel. If you don't check to make sure you got fuel and spark.... also the solenoid you are talking about next to the map sensor will not stop the car from starting its for the evap can on the fire wall it for emissions...

well if im running obd1 setup and i have a obd0 based b16a would i have to put a knock sensor since it doesnt have one? will this be preventing my car from starting?

make sure you have the obd1 dizzy. using an obd0 dizzy won't work.

if you need a harness pm me. i know H22 set ups are a lil different when it comes to ecu's. so your wiring might need to be redone.

im not to positive but i think its might be different at the actual ecu connections. your best bet would be to get a hold of obd0 ecu pin outs and make sure they match up to your stock obd0 ecu plugs. if they were changed out to obd1 ecu plugs then make sure they match up to stock obd1 plugs (wire locations).

Double check on your ecu plugs and that they match up to the diagrams

sooo i checked my spark plugs after a few attempts looks like only cylinder gets wet with fuel im guessing it possible that my resistor box is bad even tho they rarely rarely go badd.

idk guys....im still on this my timing was off a bit fixed it but im still having trouble and from my reading from a haynes book seems like to me that the vacuum solenoids might be whats stopping me from the car running since they are suppose to open when the car is preparing to start and when the car is hot and steady so since they arent plugd up i would only guess that they are not operating and whatever purpose they take place to help start the car is not happening so has to be what holding the motor back? idk seems like everyone is getting lost in this mix up

That solenoid is not stopping your car from starting I remvoed my solenoid and evap canister when I did my wire tuck to clean up my bay a little more my car still starts and runs fine. Ask any one that will not stop your car from starting. you have a problem some where else
