Does NASA require a 4 or 6 point cage for wheel to wheel competition? If possible could anyone post pictures of the cage setups in their NASA car to give me an idea what I should look to get. Any other comments are welcome. I tried to do a search but couldnt come up with any pictures. Thanks in advance.

 

check the NASA website for the GCR, it's free I hear. 99.9% sure it's a 6 point cage. The material and specs will be in the GCR.

 

I found it, its a 6 point. Thats what I thought but wasnt 100% sure.

 

6 point SCCA-Legal cages are the requirement.

Did you remove the tar from below the cage mounting plates? I can't tell from the pic. I had a friend of mine that did a similar install into a GSR and he said that after several months all of the bolts on the cage were loose because they had sunk into the tar. Just a suggestion if you haven't checked them.
