92 not sure whats wrong
i have a 5 speed it recognizes the gears. but has no catch when in the gears..stopping the car from going anywhere. the pedal still feels stiff like it should catch but it doesnt plz give feedback
You have a hydraulic clutch. Check the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and the lines for leaks. Sometimes there's an internal leak in the slave cylinder that you can't see and replacing it takes care of the problem. To help illustrate, #7 is the master cylinder (on the firewall) and #10 is the slave cylinder (on the tranny): http://www.hondapartscheap.com/south...t=0&quantity=0 Although it looks like it's discontinued. Try local CL, eBay and here for nationwide salvage: http://www.car-part.com/ Good luck.
EDIT: I found repair kits and the cylinder themselves here: http://www.rockauto.com/

If the clutch pedal feels right, then I would think that the clutch plate is worn out. If the clutch plate is worn, you should have felt the transmission slipping recently. I have replaced my slave cylinder twice, both time the clutch pedal had no resistance, and would not return to its normal position.
You most likely need your clutch disk and pressure plate replaced. I would suspect that this is a job that is beyond your abilities to do yourself. Parts are around $100 to buy. To have done at a transmission shop would probably be $500 to $600.
Check for leaks first, it's a whole lot cheaper and easier to check for a leak before spending $500. Hell, what's $10-20 when you might end up spending $500?
