Default ABS issue... No really!

First post but I'm not new to cars or my accord. anyways, got a 93 honda accord, 230,000 miles and still running like a champ!!

ABS started to act up 2 months ago, right in time for winter. Funny thing is, after I went over 50mph, if I hit my brakes the ABS motor would start up and the brakes would start pumping, as if the system thought one of the wheels was slipping, drop below 50 and it was fine. I didn't have time to tinker with it, so I removed the motor fuse and left it at that for a month or so. When I put the fuse back in recently and as soon as I hit 30mph, the ABS motor starts up and starts pumping the brakes even without me hitting the brakes!! So I went from bad to worse.

Today I did a diagnoses of the ABS. Removing all harnesses, checking for connection, ohms, corrosion, etc. The front 2 abs speed sensors resistances match, and the back 2 match (though the ohms are different). The left rear sensor had corrosion on the wire connectors but cleaned that up and retested it with volt meter and it was fine. I also checked speed sensor to exciter ring distance, that checked out all around, between .032 and .035 all around. And all the rings look in perfect shape and same for sensors, which are nice and clean!

SOO any ideas? I have no idea why this all started or where to take it from here. There is NOOOOO abs light on either.

no other posts?

i dont know anything about the abs system, so the only advice i can give u is to just get rid of the whole system (as long as everything else works normally without it), and just not have ABS. OR you could just go a mechanic.

You ABS unit might have failed? You can find a junk yard and find one cheap. Other than that I like specialone70's idea you don't have to have it, it is a option. Wait around for another more experienced persons answer on the ABS unit someone here should know something else to do to test it.
