88 si tranny swap into 91 dx
So I'm in the process of swapping an 88si tranny into my 91 crx dx and of course I ran into the problem of the different spline count and sizes of the flywheels. I looked in the faq at the stock clutch fitment guide and read through my options. My question is can I just use an 88 accord disk with my 91 dx pressure plate and flywheel or do I have to use a 91 si pressure plate as the fitment guide said? I figured the 91 dx and 91 si would be the exact same size but I don't know. Or I could get an 88-89 flywheel because I also have an 88 si clutch kit. Both the 88 si clutch and my 91 clutch are practically brand new, only 700 miles on my 91 clutch and flywheel which is why I don't want to have to buy a ton of new stuff. My cheapest option would be to pull an 88 flywheel from a yard and just slap it in there. Would it be very bad if I didn't have it resurfaced, or would that not matter very much? Let me know what the best option is. Thanks for the help guys.
all 89-91 trannys/clutches are the same other than gearing so yeah just put the accord clutch with the dx flywheel and pressure plate.. my dad just did this to his hatch
