i have a 91 crx dx conveted to si with a dohc zc but ive had wierd un explainable break downs over the past 3 years ive had it, the guy i got it from did the dpfi to mpfi conversion and it had a sohc zc in it when i got it, but he had a b16 in it before that so the dash harness is pretty hacked but i got a beat up 88 crx si shell with the complete dash harness in it so can i just swap that dash harness into mine? i know the engine harness will plug right in cuz ive swapped the first one out with a crx si engine harness and it has the same plugs on pass. and driver sides and will plug right in but will everything under the dash still plug in? i know i would have to use the 88 gauge cluster but what about the underdash fuse box? and everything else??

 

if you use that harness the shock tower connectors will NOT be the same. therefore your current engine harness will not plug in.

 

you mean where the dash harness plugs into the engine harness on passenger side?? cuz those plugs are the same as the dash harness in my car now thats the first thing i looked at and everything else looks exactly the same where it will all just plug in

 

the plugs on the driver side will be different.
1988 uses 2 rectangular 6pin plugs on the driver side. 1 plug is for the resistor box.
90-91 uses 1 round 8pin plug and 1 rectangular plug for the resistor box.

im not positive on 89 models, but i think they have round plugs on the driver side.
