will a 98 acura tl transmission fit a 2000 acura tl?
As titles says, I found a 2000 tl with a slipping transmission but still runs. I have not drove it yet but the owner told me the did a flush on transmission at 90k car now is 167k and I know flush is bad for acura/honda. So Im thinking I might have to replace or rebuild the tranny. I found a 98 but not sure would transmission fit as the style changed in 1999.
Please help thanks!!

all just accord stuff. do a simple check of harness plugs. same number of plugs and same number of pins and you should be good to go. only major diff would be 4 vs 5 speeds.
I couldnt say more than that for you. we rebuild autos but I don't pay that much attention

Doesn't fit. Must be an '00 - '03 transmission. Please note that these transmissions had an extremely high failure rate. So if you haven't already bought it take that into consideration.
