car wont rev up
i have a 91 civic hatchback i put a obd1 b18a1 motor in it and when i drive it when it reaches around the 2500 rpm it cuts back the motor wont go no more untill i shift into another gear does it again i was told it is a sensor that goes inside the distributor that keeps it from reving up and that a distributor from an AT makes a difference i have a manual this is my first swap but the car runs good

Did you do the mpfi swap right. If you don't have the cps wires hooked up or hooked up rong it won't rev past 3000rpms and the cps is located in the dizzy. The wires are blue/green and blue/yellow
