just fully stripped the back all the bumper supports were there , i left the sound deader and all that. aftermarket header aswell. thats about it i dont like have rear interior in any of my crx's no offence but i think its garbage anyway. when i got the car from Vancouver a had a philips and took it all out and left it at the gas station in the parking lot and came back on the highway haha. I am telling you that was the best ride ever going threw the mountains with a crx, also had a close call from getting road head from my gf at the time, i almost crashed into the side of the mountain when i was nutting.
yeah thats how I wanna die with my pants undone with my member hanging out as the girl is thrown around in the car cause she's not wearing a seat belt when I crash into something. Sorry dude but I have seen too many bad car crashes while I would tag along with a friend that was a tow truck driver. Even once had to see two crispies extracted from a car that were brother and sister.
Road head just ain't worth it IMO.

i eliminated the air conditioning, all the intake baffles and have the vx wheels on my rex so far. will probally be stripping the interior in the spring if i get another daily driver
now see I went to a truck stop weight machine on the side of the freeway. The big machine seemed to only weigh in 20s. So it would jump from 1940 to 1960 and back. It was not that accurate but I assume that's cause it weighs trucks that are multiple tons.
I weighed my JDM '88 CRX si on some corner weight race scales a while back and I had her down to 845kgs /1867lbs, all rear interior out, no a/c, no carpet or sound deadening, no spare wheel, jack etc. Have since made a few other changes so I estimate it to be down to 840kgs/1851lbs
Nice. Anyone replace the rear glass with lexan or replace the whole hatch with a fiberglass one?
I was able to take my 95 mustang drag car from 3300lbs to 2600lbs. Now I know theres less stuff to remove out of the crx because its a smaller car but im sure it wouldnt be a problem to get these cars into the 1,7xx and possibly 1,6xx range, no?

How much are the doors worth?
As for the newbie comment, you must be drunk. My **** runs faster on motor than yours does on boost.
920 kg / 2 028 with 2/3 of fuel tank, stock car with oem spare wheel, tool kit etc. The best way to reduce it significantly is to change hood and trunk to CF, cause they are VERY heavy.
As for my car doing autox.... not even possible with the suspension/chassis stiffening/wheels/steering, etc that my car has. With a spool rear end, 28x10.5 slicks, skinnies up front, manual brakes, manual steering, anti roll bar, coil overs, etc I prolly wouldnt make it one lap around a race track at full speed. lol
Thanks, so from the post on here the si's are generally 100lbs heavier in stock form as suggested by wikipedia and the 88-89's were 100lbs lighter than the 90-91's.
To: vg Ace, try going to a scrap yard where they recycle metals and they weigh the vehicles both coming in and going out. I did this w/my first CRX ('90), and w/a half tank of gas it weighed 1925. These scales are usually every 10 lbs. - mine was stripped interior, Motegi TrakLites, lightened flywheel, Odyssey battery, no spare wheel or a.c., etc.
Dont know my weight, but I have a CF hood, no A/C, lightened flywheel, aluminum radiator, header (no iron exhaust), SS cat-back, racing seat, no passengers seat or spare, fiberglass front bumper (cover) with no reinforcement and aluminum wheels. Removing the interior is gay - you might reduce 5 lbs and it looks like ****. I do have a supercharger, ect to help make it go. Less weight plus more HP is the key. And I weigh 155 lbs - go on a diet and go faster!
