91 civic si noisy clutch release bearing
i have a 91 civic si with a d15b and an si cable trans. i swapped this motor in last feb (almost a year ago) and installed a new exedy clutch kit as well. ive noticed within the past few days that i have quite a noise when the clutch is released, kinda squeals when i take off in first gear. theres also a sort of whining noise when i release the pedal (isnt a noisy pedal arm) and it goes away when the clutch is pressed. could this be the input shaft bearing and not the release bearing? i can change a throwout bearing without much problem but cracking into the trans casing is another story
^ive been driving mine with a noisy isb for 9+ months straight now and it still drives like a champ...then again i don't drive like an idiot and i have yet to hit redline with my new motor
yeah im not driving this si all nutty either. its my daily that i drive to work and such. it shifts and drives fine so far just that noise when driving or idling.
