There exactly the same right? I need a race spare and found a '92 for cheap...but I want to make sure it'll bolt up to my 90 b18...

I believe the earlier ones, 90-91, have a 29mm input shaft and the later ones are 30mm.

 

the input shafts are different on the 90-91 compared to the 92-93. You can use an 90-91 tranny on a 92-93 as long as you use the 90-91 clutch(due to the shafts) and visa-versa.

 

Yup you can bolt it up no problems, you'll just need a clutch disc from the respective year.

 

how can u tell size of input shaft?? how can u tell what year? my tranny busted and bought another transmission and before it didnt slip but now it dosent do anything it will hardly grab i think its a 92-93 but dont really know
