D series transmission
my current car is 92 to 95 eg civic
d16z6 engine
Vitara with a T3 50 trim turbo
currently has a s20 transmission (long gear)
What is the latest model civic transmission i could use? civic ek ?
Would there be any benefit of using a shorter geared transmission from an Si?
If my rear main seal is in fact leaking, will this cause engine oil consumption? Is the transmission rear main seal expensive seal to replace? or is this replaced with the addition of a new transmission.?

ek is the newest tranny that will fit. A leaking rear main won't cause it to consume oil, but probably leak out
.
And i don't have experience w/ a turbo honda so i can't recommend a shorter geared tranny, all i know is all except jdm dohc zc tranny suck compared to b series, as far as ratios go that is. But that's nothing a little gear swapping won't fix

OP Run a D-series EX/Si tranny, get an LSD if you can afford one at all (and no OBX doesn't count)
