Default 94 Accord mods

I have a 94 Accord ex 4dr and I wanted to add a little pep in it's step. I wanted to no what some of you'll have done to these cars to gain horses. I was thinking about a cold air intake (AEM V2) and headers (which is the best???) and doing the exhaust (what is a good exhaust???). Is there anything else that will help out without swapping to a H22? I also wanted to change the suspension (any set better than the other???) I am not trying to spend a arm and leg but I am the type of guy that likes to put the best on the care first so I want have to go back and do it over again. As you'll might no I am a noob at performance as you can see in my questions. I am a car audio installer and this car has a real nice sound system in it now I want to give it the extra pep because it has a little more weight and I have changed the alternator from the 90amp alternator from the factory to a 270xp DC power alternator (180-200amps at idle and 270-300amps at 2000rpm) I switch between a single 12" sub (RD Audio Heavyweight 65-70lb sub) to 2-10" subs (DC soundlab 4xl 45-50lbs a piece) depending on what competition I want to do. I notice that when I have my system playing hard that the alternator pulls the motor down when I am at idle and I no that is because I have the car at idle when the system is cranked up and the alternator needs more force. Now I want to find out what is the best mods I can put on my par to give me more speed and best parts to use so I only have to do it once. What brands are the best to use and is it worth to change different things. I want to no what you'll have used that worked and/if you had to do it over which would you have done different. Anything will help. Trying to stay with my f22b1 v-tec and pep this up without going to the H22 and get me some pep in my step. Thank everyone for reading and any help and pictures of your mods would be great.

Question is what gains are looking for?.

160WHP=possible won't break your bank

175WHP=still possible cost start to rise

200WHP=now you're asking for it, prepare to spend

225WHP=$$$

250WHP=$$$$$$

300+WHP=$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I personally have an accord (i love 'em) a 94 lx (R.IP.) and now a 95 ex, I did all the racer boy mods, intake, header, exhaust and to my disappointment car is still slow and LOUDER . To sum it up maintain your car and call it a day.

do you have any pictures of your car and the mods you did? What was some of the things you did? I want to no what gains you got with each of the mods? what parts you used and brands and what brands you feel were better? I want to get the most out of it I no that I won't get a hold lot of gain out of the car but a want to try to get as much as I can without spray boast or swapping. I want it to be a very good stockish car. 175 would be good but you no anybody would want 200 out of a Honda Accord sedan that would be fun. You say your car is still slow what do you call slow and what did you do the 160,175,200 or 225 or did you just keep trying to add? What was some of the first mods and did you do suspension and I am thinking about changing to the 5 lug conversion would that help? Which CAI did you use and do you think the AEM V2 would be the best or is it HYPE?

I don't have pics, the mods I did were posted in my prior post.

As for gains I don't know what they were, I simply added bolt ons and I never took the car to a DYNO and I certain i didn't hit 150WHP with my bolt on.

As for brands they are extensive, myself I used DC sports header, magnaflow cat back, intake was cheap not a name brand.

I recall people getting 175WHP (don't quote me on this) with bolt ons and a tune.

Don't get an AEM intake it's hype, go to eBay and get a generic intake with a GOOD FILTER.

I would start with a sway bar upgrade suspension technique or progress sway bar for the rear, WILL NOTICE A DIFFRENCE IN CORNERING.

I recently added the sway bar and it is a big improvement, my next suspension upgrade will be stiffer springs in the rear with a good shock combo.

Bottom line you need to search and search.
