Default Driver side leak? Suggestions?

I've got a 96 Integra RS and the drivers side floor has leaked water ever since I've owned it- its just about ruined my carpet. I replaced the windshield and that didn't solve it. I do however notice every once in a while that the window seal around the frame of the car, not the door, looks like it might leak a bit? I notice drips of water on my shirt usually.

The car was a stolen recovery and I think it might have been broken into on the regular before I got it too. I'm curious with how thieves get into these vehicles if possibly the window seal around the door could be causing this leak?

And finally the clutch master cylinder is leaking but obviously I know the moisture isn't from that but I thought I'd put that out there too lol.

Thanks in advanced- cheers

The clutch master cylinder is leaking but its definitely water that's on the carpet. Whether or not it has some fluid from the cylinder in it is to be determined but I know water is on the carpet

Alright. Hmm.. Check gromets on the firewall and stuff. I know in my da the passenger side was getting soaked. I got to lookin and i found there was no grommet on the wire tuck going in through the fender. So just check the grommets. Thats my suggestion. Good luck

Something that I find interesting though is when I spray windshield washer fluid on the windshield you can almost instantaneously smell inside the cabin of the vehicle.

Like I said the windshield was replaced and replaced by a reputable shop. The car leaked before and after the replacement windshield was put in so I feel positive that the original leak wasn't from the windshield. I need to follow the path of where the fluid goes I suppose.

Sounds like a problem we have with 90-93's.
The cromets under the cowl cover rot out and begin to leak. Maybe this will help you:

Fixing Wet Passenger-Floor-Board
1st go to Acura or Honda and order qty 8 of part number 91608-SJ6-003. It is a small white rubber seal. They cost about $ 2.50 each 2nd remove the wiper arms and the wiper motor cowl. The wiper cowl is the long black panel under the wiper arms. Pop out the black circles and unscrew the white clips. You may also have to pull out the plastic pins under the rubber seal on the firewall side of the cowl. The panel is cumbersome. Use caution not to break the ends near the hood hinges. After you remove the cover there is another black cowl on the passenger side. This cowl covers the passenger cabin air intake. The leak is coming from the black plastic push screws that hold that cover on. When you remove the cover you can see the seals in the holes that the push screws were in. The rubber seal dry-rots over time and the sides split open. Water leaks in one drop at a time and adds up quickly. Once you have replaced the seals you should be leak free for another 9-10 years.

Funny, I've got a G2 with more miles than the DC and its even sat for longer periods of time and its leak free- I'll give the link a shot and see if it solves my problem. Thanks Matt

That doesn't help the OP as 3rd gen Integras do not have that sort of construction below the cowl. Also he said it's on the driver side, whereas that issue on DA's happens on the passenger side.

The windshield washer is one area of concern. There should be a tube that runs through the firewall, under the dash and down along the driver side door sill, and back up to the rear washer sprayer on the roof. This could be leaking somewhere and causing water to get into the car.

You ever find out where the leak was coming? My 2000 GSR just did the same thing all of a sudden. Driver side floorboard all wet including the floor mat. But passed the seat hump on the floor, the carpet is dry.

I own a 1999 acura integra gs and now have the same problem,
It started with just a bit of water on the drivers side carpet floor but now the water is present under the drivers seat..
I can't figure out where the water is coming from. The passenger side is completely dry! Any ideas ??

As for water in the spare tire area, I fixed that by removing the tail lights completely and used sylicon glue type sealant to seal around the area where the water was coming in, a classic problem with integrasm

Can someone please let me know how to fix the issue with water coming into the front drivers side please, thanks in advance
